Compliance Manager

Are you passionate about ensuring legal and ethical standards within the sports and entertainment industry?

We are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our client's team in Berlin, where you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our company's compliance framework.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of the area of Support (franchise partners and end customers) and Customer Operations (KYC/Payments) between internal departments and external service providers;

• Monitoring and adjustment of operational processes with regard to licensing requirements and gambling regulations (Germany, Austria and Malta);

• Data protection officer in cooperation with the responsible person of the group of companies;

• Reporting to the regulating authorities in accordance with legal requirements;

• Project management for sports betting licensing in Germany and Malta;

• Preparation and management of audits within the scope of existing licenses;

• Contact person for external providers in the area of youth and player protection as well as for external money laundering officers;

• Preparation of compliance materials, concepts as well as work instructions for employees and franchise partners;

• Player protection and social concept officer;

• Supervision of licensing procedures in coordination with franchise partners and lawyers;

• Partner due diligence in cooperation with the group of companies;

• Creation and revision of compliance concepts in cooperation with external consultants/lawyers as well as updating of general terms and conditions and data protection guidelines within the scope of applicable legal requirements;

• Preparation of gap analyses within the scope of existing licenses;

• Complaint management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field;

• Proven experience in compliance management, preferably within the sports and entertainment sector;

• Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions;

• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
